The Joint Committee on Taxation, a nonpartisan committee of the U.S. Congress, is looking for a lawyer to cover financial institutions, financial instruments, and tax-exempt bonds with at least four years of practice experience. An ideal candidate will have some familiarity with a variety of relevant topics such as wash sales, digital assets, and securities lending.
An ideal candidate will have some familiarity with a variety of relevant topics such as wash sales, digital assets, and securities lending. A lawyer coming to JCT should be interested in policy analysis of tax law changes and, as a member of a small group of lawyers, should be willing to work in other unrelated areas of tax law as the need may arise.

Although JCT currently has a flexible hybrid schedule, relocation to Washington is necessary.
