Mohammad Shaiful Kashem, Parker McCay P.A.
Born in Bangladesh and raised in New Jersey, he bridges two cultures and is fluent in both Bangla and English. His work as a first-year associate at Parker McCay, P.A., is in their pubic finance practice. An avid trivia fan, he likes to unwind after a long workday by watching Jeopardy.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Mohammad Shaiful Kashem. I was born in Bangladesh and raised in New Jersey. Went to Rutgers for undergrad and graduated summa cum laude in 2017 and graduated from Rutgers Law School in 2020.
What inspired you to join NABL?
As a first-year associate in my firm’s public finance department, joining NABL was a no-brainer and felt it would open opportunities for me in my new profession.
You attended The Essentials conference last year. How have you incorporated what you learned last year into your work?
I have incorporated what I learned last year in a variety of ways mainly through working on general obligation bond transactions.
What’s the best piece of advice you have received?
Simply to believe in yourself and to not be afraid to ask for help.
